The CPPENA 2026 Annual Fall Meeting will bring together healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers to explore practical approaches to managing home nutrition challenges. The session will focus on troubleshooting enteral access complications and understanding innovations in parenteral nutrition, including shelf-stable TPN / multi-chamber bag TPN. Through a combination of clinical expertise, patient perspectives, and discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about practical strategies, share experiences, and consider how these approaches may support quality of life and day-to-day care.

Meeting Description:

This CPPENA Annual Fall Meeting will bring together healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers to explore practical approaches to managing home nutrition challenges. The session will focus on troubleshooting enteral access complications and understanding innovations in parenteral nutrition, including shelf-stable TPN / multi-chamber bag TPN. Through a combination of clinical expertise, patient perspectives, and discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about practical strategies, share experiences, and consider how these approaches may support quality of life and day-to-day care.

Learning Objectives: 

  1. Describe common feeding tube complications, including leaks, granulation tissue, and clogs, and discuss practical troubleshooting strategies. 
  2. Explain the potential role, benefits, and limitations of shelf-stable TPN / multi-chamber bag TPN in home parenteral nutrition
  3. Recognize patient and caregiver perspectives related to managing enteral access issues and using shelf-stable TPN, including impacts on travel, independence, and quality of life
  4. Identify opportunities for peer-to-peer learning and dialogue to support shared problem-solving among patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.

Following the presentations, meeting attendees will be encouraged to ask questions and invited to join an open forum to discuss their own experiences.
